Becoming a new parent is both fun and overwhelming at the same time. Behind all the excitement of welcoming your new baby into the world lies the confusion and anxiety of doing all the preparations before your little one comes out. From the basics of caring for a newborn and all the things that you need to shop for your baby, there is absolutely a lot of things that go on in the minds of expecting parents.
Shopping baby necessities can be challenging at some point since there are so many things, styles, and brands to choose from. However, you don’t really need to buy every item that you see on baby shops. Shop wisely and get only the most important stuffs for your newborn with this newborn must-have list.
Nursery Furniture
First, you need to have a spot where you could place your little one. Newborns sleep a lot so you need to have a comfortable bed for your baby. Having a crib is a great way to give your little one his own space where he could rest and sleep. However, since co-sleeping in becoming popular among parents lately, you can also opt for a co-sleeper instead of a separate crib. Don’t forget to put a firm mattress on it to make it comfortable.
Linens
Aside from the baby bed, you also need a lot of baby linens especially during the first few months. Keep the crib mattress protected from leaks and other moisture by investing in a good mattress protector. Top it up with a soft fitted crib sheet for a comfortable texture. Lastly, you’ll need to have several cotton baby blankets to wrap your baby or keep them warm and comfy as they sleep.
Feeding Gear

You only need to have the basics – an infant tub, washcloths, baby wash, hooded towels, cotton balls/swabs, and a soft baby hair brush.
